Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most, from licensing and insurance to payment and rescheduling. Have a question about a specific service instead? See below.

What moving services does KejaMove offer?

We handle local moves within Nairobi, intercounty moves across Kenya, office relocations, international shipments, professional packing, decluttering and secure storage. Start with home moving or office moving to see the detail.

How do I request a moving quote?

Build one yourself using the quotation tool, call 0723 474 252, or email info@kejamove.com. Bedsitters through three-bedroom apartments receive an instant quotation; larger homes and offices are scheduled for a survey so the scope is accurate.

Is KejaMove licensed and insured?

Yes. KejaMove is licensed to operate as a professional moving and relocation company in Kenya and carries insurance covering your belongings in transit for both residential and commercial moves.

What areas does KejaMove serve?

All neighbourhoods and suburbs of Nairobi, plus intercounty moves to Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and other regional centres. We also handle international relocations from Kenya.

Can you move specialty items like pianos or antiques?

Yes. Pianos, fragile antiques, artwork and other delicate items are handled by trained crews using padded blankets, straps and custom crating where needed. See piano moving and fine art & antique moving for the detail, or flag them when requesting your quotation.

Do you offer packing services?

Yes. We supply boxes, tape, bubble wrap and protective padding, and can pack your whole home or only the fragile items. If you would rather pack yourself, we can supply the materials and move items you have already prepared.

How far in advance should I book my move?

For weekends, end-of-month dates and holiday periods, book four to six weeks ahead. For weekday moves outside peak periods, two to four weeks is usually enough. We do accommodate shorter notice when crews are available.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer, M-Pesa, major credit cards including Visa and Mastercard, and cheques for corporate clients made payable to Keja Move Limited. Cash is accepted by prior agreement.

What safety measures do you take during a move?

Crews are trained in safe lifting and handling, we use quality packing materials, and loading uses ramps, dollies and straps. Our fleet is inspected and maintained, and all moves include insurance cover.

Can you provide references or customer testimonials?

Yes. Read what our customers say on our testimonials page, covering both household and business relocations.

Do you offer storage?

Yes. We provide secure short-term and long-term storage with monitored facilities and inventory management, useful when the old home must be cleared before the new one is ready. See storage services.

What if I need to reschedule my move?

Contact us as early as possible on 0723 474 252 or info@kejamove.com and we will find a new date based on availability. Rescheduling with reasonable notice usually carries no additional fee; we will tell you upfront if one applies.
