Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Manager/ Content Creator to join our moving company in Nairobi, East Africa. will be responsible for developing high-quality copy for websites, social media, marketing materials, and other platforms. To do so, they will learn all about and make significant contributions to our branding and style guide to efficiently maximize the impact of content they generate. They will understand the successes and challenges of content from our market competitors and will share their learnings with coworkers and stakeholders to consistently deliver excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns.
  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
  • Support marketing team at live and online event
  • Perform social media marketing research
  • Assist on influencer campaign strategy
  • Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
  • Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
  • Write social media captions that speak to the company‚Äôs target audience
  • Help create and edit short-form videos
  • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
  • Assist with photo/video content shoots
  • Ensure brand message is consistent
  • Branding and brand management
  • Editing And Proofreading Content Before Publication

Qualifications:

Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.

Sales Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the moving industry or a related field.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. 

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.

Problem-solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, provide appropriate solutions, and handle objections effectively.

Tech and Social media proficiency.

Good graphic Design Skills

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Initiative and Resilience: A self-starter who can work independently and maintain a positive attitude, even in challenging situations.

Customer Focus: A passion for providing excellent customer service and creating positive customer experiences.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate customer needs.
